Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q.  Do I need to be a registered voter to sign a petition?

A.  No, you do not have to be a registered voter, as these petitions are not for an initiative, recall or legislative reasons therefore, allowing us greater latitude. The petitions are a support document for the attorneys to petition to the State Supreme Court and for the press when that time comes. However, marking on the petition whether or not the signor is a voter would be greatly appreciated.

Q.  Are P.O. Box addresses OK for the petitions?

A.  Yes!  Since some patrons frequent different establishments, please be aware that you may only sign one time, and of course you must be a U.S. citizen. Alterations to petitions could be frowned upon so, we would suggest that this not be done.
